Pick a SKU that is safe to publish

Choose a product that is already live in your shop. Use a draft status if you prefer. That way if something goes wrong the product just gets updated, not created as duplicate.

Take one clean photo

For warehouse-photo intake: neutral wall, diffuse daylight if possible, product centred, no price tags or barcodes in frame. Otto tolerates bad lighting and cluttered backgrounds — the vision stage reads the product identity, not the scene. But cleaner inputs mean fewer regenerations.

Submit through intake

Pick a SKU code that matches your shop (this is how the publish stage matches existing products). Take the photo, tap submit. The PWA confirms receipt with a thumbnail preview.

Wait for generation

Typical timing: 60 to 120 seconds for one SKU. You get a notification when frames are ready.

Review carefully

For your first SKU, look at every frame:

• Does the studio frame show the product identity correctly (no hallucinated parts)?
• Is the lifestyle context believable for your category?
• Is the detail crop focused on something that sells the product?
• Is the DE copy tone correct (Sie vs. Du, formality level)?

If something is wrong, click Regenerate. First regen per SKU is included. If the second output is still wrong, email hello@otto.photography with the SKU ID — that is usually a style-pack mismatch we can fix before your bulk run.

Publish to your shop

Click Publish. Otto writes to your connector. Check the confirmation email for the product URL. Open it in your shop admin. Verify:

• All images present, in the display order shown in review
• Product title and description populated
• SEO fields written (check Rank Math / Yoast for WooCommerce, or the Shopify SEO section)
• Category assignment correct

Only now bulk-upload

If the first SKU checks out, Otto is configured correctly for your shop. Bulk upload the rest of the batch with confidence.
