Why regenerate, not crop
Supplier PDFs are optimised for print, not shop display. Images are typically 72–150 DPI with CMYK colour. Cropping them produces 300-pixel-wide thumbnails that look bad next to product pages built for 1200×1200. Otto uses the PDF image as a reference, runs it through the vision stage, and regenerates at shop-display quality.
